In accordance with the Skills Development Act, 2008 section 10(a) each Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) is required to develop the SSP within the framework of the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS). The SETAs are mandated to promote skills development in their designated sectors. This process involves sector planning research to ensure that public investments in the skills development resonate with the needs of the SETA’s constituencies and key government economic and social priorities. In this regard, the SETAs are tasked to develop and submit Sector Skills Plan (SSP) Annual Updates to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).

Based on the above, the ETDP SETA would like to contract a research partner to conduct research that will provide authentic data and labour market related information to inform the SSP update for 2020/21. The research partner appointed will be allocated the Early Childhood Development (ECD) subsector and will be expected to complete the project within six (6) months.

ETDP SETA provides an Information Technology (IT) network to enable the delivery of services to all its stakeholders. IT assets enable the capturing, organising, sharing and use of information to meet the organisation’s strategic objectives. The ETDP SETA is therefore looking for an accredited service provider to supply and deliver servers needed in its provincial offices.

ETDP SETA is primarily a government organisation and the building presentation in external and internal appearance should reflect this.

The building needs to represent ETDP SETA and should demonstrate accessibility to the man on the street in nature and the integration of the ETDP SETA brand into the space is important.

ETDP SETA reserves the right to appoint their own space planner and interior designer to assist in ensuring that the selected building meet the ETDP SETA’s requirements.

The ETDP SETA is looking for a suitably qualified service provider to deliver a Business Process Analysis services.

The ETDP SETA plans on conducting a formal project of process reengineering to ensure that optimal business processes and automated solutions are implemented. The ETDP SETA expects the service provider to evaluate the value chain of the organisation and not only the stand-alone processes. The work entails determining service requirements and performance measures for key stake holders and clients, internal and external. Some of the challenges faced by the ETPD SETA are:

  1. A Lack of a framework of process performance monitoring and accountability
  2. Slow response to service requests
  3. Laborious, time consuming and error prone reporting processes
  4. High turn-around time leading to high stakeholder costs
  5. Duplication and lack of consistency of information throughout a number of business functions
  6. A lack of process transparency with all stakeholders
  7. Highly paper driven processes


ETDP SETA's Document Scanning Solution

The purpose of this bid is to appoint a service provider to supply, deliver and assemble office furniture for the ETDP SETA Head Office (Johannesburg) and eight (8) provincial offices namely: Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Northwest, Limpopo and Free State.

The ETDP SETA is looking for accredited training providers to facilitate the implementation of Learnerships and Skills Programme in the ETD sector for the 2018/19 financial year.

The bid covering letter must clearly indicate the Programmes and Provinces you show interest in training in.

ETDP SETA is a Schedule 3A Public Entity established in terms of the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998. EDP SETA is one of 21 sector education and training authorities (SETAs) mandated to put the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) into practice. ETDP SETA is currently seeking a panel of legal service providers to provide legal services as and when required.

The organisation is seeking to supplement the internal legal service unit with providers that will be available do handle legal matters that cannot be handled internally.

The duration of the contract is up to 31st March 2020.
